It's hard to believe that tomorrow marks the beginning of May. Boy how time flies. In just a few short months we will be celebrating our one year anniversary. I can honestly say that this year has been such an exciting journey. It is amazing to see how the uncertainty we faced at this time last year has turned into such wonderful success and joy this year. Each day, I meet wonderful people who are so supportive and understand the importance of health. It is unbelievably refreshing to come in contact with people who share in my desire to live life differently. I am currently working on trying to reach out to our wonderful customers in order to keep them connected. We are starting a newsletter and a sales program so that you know when things are on sale. We have recognized that a percentage of our customer base has returned up North for the Summer months and we realize that we need to be creative in getting the word out to those who are left behind :) We are going to be starting a campaign asking our customers to be our best form of advertisement. So far, you already are! Each one, tell one. Would you consider doing us a huge favor and telling somebody about our store. Advertising can be extremely expensive and being a new store has a lot of expenses involved. We would much rather spend our dollars on bringing you more products at better prices!

Being a soloprenuer (solo entrepreneur - aka: doing a lot of this on my own) can be difficult and somewhat overwhelming at times. In all honesty, there are some days when I have a to-do list 50 items long and don't get any crossed off of my list (very frustrating)! There are also some days when I wish I had more skills to do things myself or more money to hire somebody else to do it for me (that would be nice :D). In the meantime, I will do the very best I can. Please bear with me as I try to figure everything out! I truly appreciate all of the many smiling faces that I see each week. I actually get excited when I see many of your faces coming through the door. I appreciate the time you spend visiting and the information that you share with me. Many of you are the reason I can leave feeling satisfied each evening; you remind me of the reason that I care so much for people. I wish each of you good health.

A Fresh Start

There is something refreshing about the idea of a fresh start; the absence of prior stigmas or how things are "usually done". I am not a believer in waiting for a specific date to make changes, but I do believe in taking advantage of every opportunity that presents itself to reflect on where our life is and where we would like to see it. In my reflection, I have realized how much of a schedule person I am. If I don't have a plan, I fail. Simple as that. If I do have a plan, I am much more likely to stay on track and reach my goals. It still takes effort, but the easier I can make it on myself, the better! This week, I went online searching for a blank schedule to fill for myself. I found one on www.kristensguide.com. I printed it out and began to fill in the slots. I liked this one because there is plenty room for 15 minute increments and it is very customizable. I am calling this week my trial week. I am seeing how well the schedule works for me. I am focusing on meal prep and getting my eating schedule down. Being at a store all day doesn't allow me to forget my food! Yesterday, I spent time cooking for the week and I am finishing up this morning. Wild caught Cod, free-range chicken breasts, lots of organic veggies, organic sweet potatoes, organic quinoa, pumpkin protein bars, turkey protein muffins... I like to prepare as much food as I can ahead of time so that I have every opportunity to make very good food choices. I will be sharing more about my make ahead meals in the future. Each Monday, you can be prepared to read a blog post from me. If you have any questions or suggested topics, please feel free to comment on here or on our Facebook page. I have got to stick to my schedule so I need to finish up here. Oh yeah, Thursday January 5 at 9:00 AM and 6:30 PM we have a Resolution Celebration and Weight Loss Product Seminar. Please RSVP if you are planning to attend! Have a health-filled day!
